Who we are
This website, saskimmigrationlawyers.com, is operated by SPS Law Group LLP, a law firm at 806 Victoria Ave, Regina, SK S4N 0R5, Canada. We are responsible for personal information collected through this site and handle it in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and our professional obligations as lawyers, including solicitor-client confidentiality where it applies.
What we collect
- Contact details you choose to give us: your name, phone number, email address and preferred language, whether through the booking assistant, by email or by phone.
- Information about your inquiry: the general topic you need help with (for example SINP, sponsorship, a refusal) and any details you choose to include.
- Technical basics: standard server logs (IP address, pages requested). We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
The booking assistant
The chat assistant on this site helps you ask general questions and leave your contact details so a lawyer can follow up. Please read this before using it:
- No solicitor-client relationship. Using the assistant, or contacting us through this website, does not make you a client of SPS Law Group LLP and does not create a solicitor-client relationship. No legal advice is given until you have consulted a lawyer and the firm has agreed to act for you, after a conflict-of-interest check.
- General information only. The assistant provides general information, not legal advice about your specific case.
- Share contact basics only. Please do not submit confidential or sensitive case details through the assistant. Your name, contact information and the general topic are enough; the details belong in a consultation.
- How it works. Conversations are processed by our intake system and third-party AI service providers to generate responses, and the contact details you leave are stored in the firm's secure intake system so we can respond to you.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and arrange a consultation.
- To run a conflict-of-interest check before taking on a matter, as our professional rules require.
- To provide legal services if you retain the firm.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Sharing and storage
Information you submit is stored in the firm's secure systems. Service providers that process data for us (website hosting, the intake system and AI processing for the assistant) may store or process data outside your province or outside Canada; where they do, it can be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We share personal information only with these service providers as needed to operate the site, or where the law requires.
Retention
Intake information is kept as long as needed to respond to you and to meet conflict-checking and record-keeping obligations. Client files are retained in accordance with Law Society of Saskatchewan requirements.
Your rights
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete information we are not required to keep. Contact us at info@spslaw.ca or 1-866-315-3612.
Questions or complaints
Privacy questions can be directed to the firm at info@spslaw.ca. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
